Here’s a brief rundown of the officials who show up in the transcripts from the Federal Open Market Committee’s 2009 meetings, and the positions they held at the time.
Note: Washington-based governors and the New York Fed’s president vote at every policy meeting. Other regional presidents rotate into voting positions on the FOMC, though all presidents participate in the committee’s discussions. In 2009, voting slots were held by the Atlanta, Chicago, Richmond and San Francisco banks.
